11:10 1:11:58 C5G 38% Keep ow, I'm no ling в om should handle? 11:08 PM I'm sorry but I won't be in tomorrow. I've come down with something that has absolutely knocked me down and out, I slept about 18 hours today and can barely stand. I'm sorry for the late notice, but I just woke up again and figured I should send this now rather than later. I'll keep you updated as to my condition, I think whatever I had last week weaked my immune system and now I'm getting hit even worse. I need you to reach

It's currently past 11 here. I've been so sick I've only gotten out of bed twice, not even well enough to go to the Walgreens across from my apartment to buy a COVID test. Since sending this, my manager has sent me the contact numbers of 3 staff who I know are as worn out of our manager as I am. I make minimum wage as a Senior Rep at GameStop. this

ZinglonsRevenge • 9h 1. You don't work off the clock. 2. You're not a manager. If those don't work, let them fire you.
  • 05
RipWhenDamageTaken .7h OP should just reply with that exact information. "I'm not the manager. I don't work off the clock." And then turn off the phone or something idk

branod_diebathon • 7h . I actually wouldn't respond at all. Management should be well aware of their duties.

Rm9sbG93ZXJzR • 8h It's not your job to Cover shifts them
  • 08
iWriteWrongFacts ⚫ 2h Yeah if they are going to quit anyway, just send a message back with "not my job"
  • 09
techbear72 • 8h If you are at the point to send that, a better response might be: Sorry, but as the manager that's part of what you would need to do and not part of my role paying minimum wage. I'm switching my phone off now to rest. That way, maybe you get fired and can claim unemployment, or maybe your boss does his job and stops trying to make you be the one that does it.

RedFivelron • 5h I wouldn't start that response with "Sorry" but otherwise it is perfect.

Catch Melf YouCan09 5h "Notifying you of my absence is the extent of my responsibility. Staffing is in your job description, not mine. I'm unavailable and will let you know about my next scheduled shift on -date- tomorrow. To facilitate proper rest to recover; i will be silencing my phone"

not_cozmo • 9h For minimum wage and you have keys? that.
  • 13
Willing_Actuary_4198 • 8h Don't even respond you told them what they need to know. If they wanna fire you let them and file for unemployment. Under no circumstance am I doing the managers job for them at minimum wage
  • 14
04rallysti • 5h "Oh I'm sorry I thought you were the manager" Go radio silence Bring keys in 3 days later when you're feeling better and quit
  • 15
Wrong-Beyond-6530.6h First off your text to him should have been way shorter. "Hey. I'm sick. Not gonna make it in." That's it. Why include all the extra? When replying to the managers response I agree with the other people here. They are the manager. Not you. " I'm not the manager it is not my responsibility to schedule people nor find someone to cover for me when I'm sick."
  • 16
Khadonnis 7h • Don't quit. Make them fire you. Also, try to have something lined up. Don't be miserable (more than you are because sick) to make it easier on them.
